Although there is no doubt that bamboo itself is highly sustainable, not all methods for textile production, be it cotton or bamboo, are as environmentally friendly. That’s why we are proud to say our bamboo sheets are sustainably manufactured using a ‘closed-loop’ process, without the use of harmful chemicals.
What is ‘OEKO TEX Standard 100’?
Our bamboo bedding is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. This is a worldwide independent testing and certification system by OEKO-TEX® applicable for raw, semi-finished, and finished textile products assuring the material is free of any harmful substances and chemicals. Is bamboo recommended for allergy and eczema sufferers?
Bamboo textile is hypo-allergenic and naturally repels allergens such as dust mites, mould and mildew making it gentle on skin. As such, it’s an excellent choice for people suffering eczema and allergies, as well as for those with sensitive skin and delicate baby skin. Read more about the benefits of bamboo here.

Bamboo sheets and bedding are particularly suitable for people fully or partially confined to bed, people suffering from pressure issues or difficulty regulating body temperature with excessive heat retention and/or feeling cold as result.
How do I wash and care for bamboo?
Bamboo is an easy-care, machine washable textile. But although it is a strong and durable material, bamboo textile is fragile when wet. Therefore, it’s advisable to use extra care when washing and drying your bamboo products.
Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle (due to the antimicrobial properties of bamboo you do not need to use hot water anyway). Use a gentle laundry detergent, preferably liquid, that does not contain bleaching agents or optical brighteners. Also avoid fabric softeners (the sheets are ultra-soft already!) plus softener may ‘clog’ the fabric making it less breathable.
Separate wash is recommended as washing your bamboo sheets together with other fabrics may cause damage or pilling. Line drying in the shade is best but if not practical, you may tumble dry on a delicate, cool setting.

Occasionally, you may see some pilling occurring on your sheets and towels. As bamboo is a natural fibre, such pilling is normal, especially during initial use in response to friction and body heat. This isn’t a fault or a defect. You can gently remove any pilling manually or it will naturally shed during the washing and drying process (as per the care instructions). It will usually be removed after 5 or 6 washes, if not earlier.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?
If you are located in Sydney, you can normally expect to receive your order within 1-3 days; add another day or so for Melbourne and Brisbane. Most orders are shipped via Australia Post or Sendle courier – Australia’s first 100% carbon neutral delivery service. You may opt for Express shipping at a flat rate of $19 with 1-3 day delivery depending on your location.
